Umar turns 3 years old last Saturday, 7th August. A day after Zara's birthday. Happy Birthday Umar! Mummy loves you lots.
Physically, Umar is still small. To tell the truth, I'm overly worried of his stature. I'm vertically challenged myself and I'm worried that he will too. What will that do to his self confidence someday? Does he has to work extra hard to prove himself when he is older? Will the kids pick on him at school? Kids can be really mean and say awful stuff to their peers. Will my boy have a hard time coping with them? Will his height (or the lack of it) destroys his self esteem? I'm praying hard that his body will catchup with his age soon. Real soon!
Other than that, he is such a joy to have. Each day I look forward to see that cheeky smile. He is also a good teaser. Though his vocabs are relatively small but he could string some words he knows to form a short sentence. He is still crazy over Thomas and don't think the Thomas frenzy will die down anytime soon. His cousins bought him Thomas & Friends tank engine for his birthday and he squealed in delight over the sight of the box! Such a lovely gesture! Thanks cousins!
We went back to Kuantan last weekend and had a small birthday celebration for Zara, Umar and Solehah (the kids cousin who turned 12 last week). The kids had fun of course living a carefree live and not being confined to our small apartment all the time. Freedom outdoor is something that we can't afford to give to our kids living in the big city. Pathetic really! Hopefully that will change once we move out.
Anyways, some photos as usual.
